Studio 15B delivers a personal and practical approach to architecture and interior design. Our work is refined, light filled and refreshing, helping to calm and organise your modern, busy lifestyle, whether it be at home or at work.
The process for each project is as individual as each brief. Our large range of skills allows us to provide you with a design that is architecturally beautiful, while fulfilling your everyday requirements.
We only take on a small number of projects at any one time, which allows us to deliver a personalised service to all of our clients. We provide individual attention to each project and will guide you through the process at each stage. We take pride in seeing our projects through from inception to completion.
Process
We customise our process to suit your needs and the project brief. Below is an overview of typical stages to help you understand what to expect during the design journey with us:
Initial Meeting

We meet with you to discuss your requirements, understand your site, your goals, and your style. We dedicate this time to sit down with you, listen and develop a detailed list of your requirements. From here we determine the services required for your project which allows us to provide a custom quote to suit your needs.
Pre-Design
+
Depending on your project the pre-design stage could include a site measure and existing drawings. This gives us an accurate base to start designing with.
Concept Design
+
In our first stage of design we rationalise your brief to develop a customised initial solution for your project, site and budget. This is a great starting point for you to assess the design and make decisions moving forward.
Cost
+
Once you are happy with the initial design, we work with an estimator to ensure your project is on budget prior to proceeding.
Design Development
+
In our second stage of the design process we further develop the concept design and look at project specific items in detail such as an internal staircase design. If required, this stage will also include drawings required for a Development Application (DA). We coordinate the approval process with a Planner on your behalf.
Building Application
+
This stage involves developing the design and documentation for submission to the certifier for building approval. We develop the documentation further, considering the structure and the detailed external appearance of the building. We coordinate on your behalf with all other consultants required for your project, such as an Engineer and Building Certifier.
Construction Documentation

This includes for more detailed documents such as electrical and lighting layouts. We assist with all selections required for accurate cost and construction purposes.
Interior Design

Kitchens, bathrooms & more — This stage involves the preparation of schedules & drawings to design and document the joinery, colours, finishes, fixtures & accessories required for the project.
Construction
+
We can assist during the pricing and construction stages. This ensures that the original design intent is taken all the way through to the built stage.
